The Hansen kids are in a jam. Adam and his best friend Duffy have gotten their hands on some tickets for the Headless Horseman concert, and his sister Chelsea has a date with her dreamy boyfriend Peter. The only problem is they're both grounded. Chelsea and Adam will do whatever it takes to get their mom Lynette out of the house, even if it includes a chance meeting with a very mysterious man. 철광 산업이 쇠퇴 일로를 달리게 되면서 실업자가 된 가즈(로버트 칼라일)는 어느날 우연히 여자들만 입장할 수 있는 남자 나체쇼가 성황을 이루는 것을 보고 스트립쇼를 해서 돈을 벌기로 마음 먹는다. 가즈는 친구 데이브와 함께 사교춤 선생인 제럴드를 설득해 멤버로 끌어들이고 체리와 호스는 오디션으로 뽑고, 일자리를 구하지 못해 자살기도를 했던 룸퍼스까지 멤버가 된다. 이들은 폐허가 된 철공소 창고에서 경찰 복장으로 스트립쇼를 연습하다 신고를 받고 달려온 경찰에게 연행됨으로써 졸지에 유명인사가 되어버린다. 많은 우여곡절이 연습 중에 생겨나고 포기하려는 사람도 생겨났지만, 결국은 남자 나체쇼를 하는 바의 운영주인 알란의 제의로 이들은 스트립쇼를 하게 되고, 관중들의 환호를 받는다. 이들은 스트립쇼를 통해 무기력하고 절망적이었던 삶에서 탈출할 수 있는 정신적 힘을 얻은 것이다.
